Shantrina (Trina) Roberts is the Acting Deputy Director for the Managed Care Group (MCG) within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS). Trina began her career with CMS in 2005 as Account Manager in the Division of Medicare & Health Plan Operations before joining the Atlanta Division of Medicaid & Children’s Health Operations in 2007.
Trina has held various leadership positions since joining CMCS. Her most recent role was Deputy Division Director for the Division of Managed Care Operations in the Medicaid and CHIP Operations Group where she was responsible for the Operations oversight of States and Territories Medicaid Managed Care Programs nationally. Prior to joining the Medicaid and CHIP Operations Group, she led the Atlanta Division of Medicaid and CHIP as the Associate Regional Administrator where she had oversight responsibility for the administration of the Medicaid programs in the eight southeastern states.
Before joining CMS, Trina served the public as a Director of Clinical Performance Improvement for the Georgia Department of Community Health, State Medicaid Agency. As a Registered Professional Nurse, Trina has over 30 years of clinical and related healthcare experience.
