Coding Requirements	1. Value must be 8 characters in the form "CCYYMMDD" 2. The date must be a valid calendar date (i.e. Feb 29th only on the leap year, never April 31st or Sept 31st) 3. Conditional 4. If populated, value must be on or after individual's Date of Birth 5. Value must be less than or equal to associated Date File Created (ELG.001.008) value 6. RULE-437	If a non-denied IP claim has a value populated for procedure code date 2 and the primary demographics eligibility segment has a value populated for date of death, then the procedure code date 2 is less that or equal to the date of death.
RULE-943	If a claim is a non-denied claim from an LT file and the date of death is populated on the primary demographic eligibilty segment and the ending date of service is populated in the claim header, then ending date of service is less than or equal to the date of death.

RULE-7423	If a primary demographics eligibility segment has a value populated for MSIS ID, date of death and date of birth, then the difference between the date of birth and date of death must be between -1 year and 120 years, or if the date of death is not populated, then the the difference between the date of birth and file header record eligibility segment start of time period is between -1 years and 120 years.
RULE-677	If a non-denied IP claim has a value populated for date of birth and the primary demographics eligibility segment has a value populated for date of death and the claim is not for a conception to birth eligible, then the date of death value is equal to or after the date of birth.
RULE-502	If a non-denied IP claim has a value populated for discharge date and the date of death is populated on the primary demographics eligibility segment, then the discharge date must be less than or equal to the date of death.
RULE-495	If a non-denied IP claim has a value populated for admission date, and the primary demographics eligibility segment has a value populated for date of death, then the claim admission date is less than or equal to date of death.

RULE-477	If the fifth procedure code date is populated on a non-denied claim from an IP file and the date of death is populated on a primary demographics eligibility segment from an ELG file with the same MSIS ID where the effective date and end date span the firth procedure code date, then the fifth procedure code date value reported must be before or equal to the date of death.
RULE-464	If a non-denied IP claim has a value populated for procedure code date 4 and the primary demographics eligibility segment has a value populated for date of death, then the procedure code date 4 is less that or equal to the date of death.
RULE-450	If a non-denied IP claim has a value populated for procedure code date 3 and the primary demographics eligibility segment has a value populated for date of death, then the procedure code date 3 is less that or equal to the date of death.
RULE-1	If a claim is a non-denied claim from an IP file and the procedure code date 1 is populated, and the primary demographics eligibility date of death is populated then the procedure code date 1 is less than or equal to the date of death.
RULE-3106	If the date of death is populated on a primary demographics eligibility segment and the primary demographics eligibility primary demographic element end date is greater than the states tmsis cutover date and the insurance coverage end date is populated on the TPL medicaid eligible person health insurance coverage information segment then the TPL medicaid eligible person health insurance coverage info insurance coverage end date is less than or equal to the primary demographics eligibilty date of death and the effective and end dates on the primary demographics eligibility segment must fall with the effective and end dates of one or more continuous TPL medicaid eligible person health insurance coverage information segments.
RULE-2522	If date of death is populated on a primary demographics eligibility segment from an ELG file, then the enrollment end date reported on the corresponding enrollment time span segment must be before or equal to the date of death reported.
RULE-2020	If date of birth and date of death are populated on a primary demographics eligibility segment from an ELG file, then the difference between the date of death value reported and the date of birth value reported must be less than or equal to 125 years.
RULE-2018	If a segment is a primary demographics eligibility segment from an ELG file, then the date of death value reported must be a valid date of the form CCYYMMDD.
RULE-1871	If a claim is a non-denied, non-void claim from an RX file and the primary demographics eligibility segment has a valid value populated for date of death, and the claim header has a valid value populated for prescription fill date, then prescription fill date is less than or equal to the date of death.
