SUD Data Dashboard Affinity Groups
The Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) provided technical assistance to Medicaid agencies in the District of Columbia, Florida, Iowa, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia geared towards revising their existing substance use disorder (SUD) data dashboards or producing new dashboards. These technical assistance activities, which ran for six months, aimed to help the participating Medicaid agencies learn about best practices in dashboard design and receive individual and group technical assistance as they produced or revised their own data dashboards. Medication-Assisted Treatment Affinity Group
IAP provided technical assistance to Medicaid agencies in Arkansas, Idaho, Michigan, Washington, and West Virginia focused on identifying strategies for modernizing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) delivery systems across a series of related topics, including the role of Opioid Treatment Programs, enhancing access, and performance metrics. Opioid Data Analytics Cohort
IAP provided technical assistance to Medicaid agencies in Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, South Carolina, and West Virginia. These states were in the initial stages of examining their SUD data. The IAP technical assistance activities, which ran from 2018 through 2019, focused on three inter-related topic areas, including opioid use disorder (OUD), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and neo-natal abstinence syndrome (NAS) and OUD care for pregnant women in the Medicaid program. High Intensity Learning Collaborative
IAP provided technical assistance to Medicaid agencies in Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington to assist with the development of infrastructure changes that could improve the care and outcomes for beneficiaries with SUDs. The High Intensity Learning Collaborative (HILC) was a year-long technical assistance initiative that began in January 2015. Following the yearlong collaborative, states were provided ad hoc one-on-one support for another year.
