The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Ohio for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on April 22, 2020.  Your initial April 14, 2020 communication and your May 18, 2020 communication included requests for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Vermont for multiple section 1135 flexibilities March 30, 2020.  Your follow-up communications to CMS on April 9 and April 15, 2020 detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Vermont and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Maine for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on April 7, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of New Hampshire for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 23, 2020. Your follow-up communications to CMS sent on March 26, 2020 detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in New Hampshire and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Texas for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 30, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on both March 28, 2020 and the 1115 request dated April 20, 2020 detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Texas and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of North Dakota for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 24, 2020. Your initial request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.  In addition, your follow-up communication to CMS on April 6, 2020 detai1ed a federal requirement that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in North Dakota and requested a waiver or modification of that additional requirement.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is granting an initial approval to the state of Virginia for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities.  This approval letter replaces CMS’ March 23, 2020 approval letter.  Your communication to CMS on April 14, 2020 and updated on April 23, 2020 detai1ed a number of federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Virginia and requested a waiver or modification of these requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the state of Rhode Island for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 27, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on March 26, 2020, April 7, 2020, and May 4, 2020 detai1ed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Rhode Island and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Alaska for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on April 2, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the state of Missouri for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 25, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.
