All states (including the District of Columbia) are required to provide data to CMS on a range of indicators related to key application, eligibility, and endrollment processes whithin state Medicaid and Children's health Insurance Programs. CMS publically releases these eligibility and enrollment data collected from states in monthly reports. Medicaid provides health coverage to millions of Americans, including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults and people with disabilities. Medicaid is administered by states, according to federal requirements. The program is funded jointly by states and the federral government.
